Should You Be Using Rakuten?

      So, you’ve heard of Ebates, right? Ebates, now called ‘Rakuten,’ is a company that allows shoppers to receive a small percentage of cash back on what they purchase. Rakuten has cash back offers from hundreds of stores. However, you may be wondering if using this service is really worth the hassle of installing. If you’re a skeptical person like me, you also are probably wondering if it’s fake. As a young adult, we’re all trying to save and make as much money as we can. It’s also best if we can make easy money! I’m here to tell you how to use Rakuten and if it is really worth it.

Will you actually get cash back?

Yes! I’ve been using the Rakuten company for over 3 years and received multiple checks, with a total of well over $200. The first thought I had before signing up was, “Is it real... or is it a scam?” I promise it is not a scam! Rakuten is a verified company and is a super easy program to 
use. This is the easiest money you’ll ever make!

What stores can I use it at?

Rakuten has hundreds of popular online stores, including Amazon, Nike, Sephora, Ulta, Etsy, Kohl’s, more! Pretty much any store or brand you can think of will be included in the cash back offers of Rakuten. Even smaller, individual brands such as Tarte or Dyson are included on the website.

How does it work?

Signing up for Rakuten is extremely easy! Make an account here! Once you’ve made an account, all you have to do is select the store you’re going to shop at on the Rakuten website or app. This will take you to that selected store and now you can shop as normal! After you’ve made a purchase, your Rakuten account will recognize your purchase after 1-4 days. Then, it will add money to your account balance! The money added depends on the cash back rate that store had at the time of your purchase. 

Is it only online?

Nope! Rakuten now offers in-store cash back! All you have to do is click on ‘In-Store Cash Back’ and sign up to receive cash back for all of your in-store purchases!
